Christina Christi Jewelry Care & Materials
Christina Christi jewelry is expertly handcrafted in our atelier in Athens, with special attention to detail and high-quality materials designed to last over time. (A small selection of rings and bangles is excluded.)
Base Metals (Brass, Pewter, etc.)
Jewelry made from simple base metals is more sensitive and may tarnish over time
if the proper care instructions are not followed.
They do not withstand water, humidity, or acidic sweat.
To keep them in excellent condition, they require gentle handling and proper storage.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is highly resistant to rust and tarnish.
Jewelry made from this material is water-resistant, however—as with all jewelry—
it is best to avoid exposure to chemicals or alcohol-based liquids to maintain its shine.
Its color tone is slightly darker compared to pure sterling silver.
925 Sterling Silver
Silver is a precious but delicate material that requires care.
When not in use, we recommend storing it in a closed jewelry box,
away from light, humidity, and air, as these factors accelerate natural tarnishing.
Also avoid contact with chemicals and alcohol-based liquids to keep your silver in the best possible condition.
Long-Term Care Tips
Gold-plated or silver-plated jewelry naturally changes over time. To keep your Christina Christi pieces shiny and looking like new, please follow the care tips below:
-
Avoid contact with soaps, lotions, perfumes, and chemicals. (High-acidity sweat can also cause damage.)
-
Clean your jewelry with a soft, dry cloth.
-
Store your jewelry in a dry place, preferably in a jewelry box.
-
Remove jewelry before sleeping, exercising, showering, swimming, or going to the sea.
-
Remember: jewelry is the last accessory you put on and the first you remove when getting dressed.
